英文简介 English Bio
Edward He (何方宇) is an independent singer-songwriter from Montreal who writes exclusively in English, with 3 years of independent music in London. Returning to Montreal in November 2026 to focus on music creation. He doesn’t write love songs — he writes about anxiety, about small lives and quiet observations, told with story and a dry sense of humor: songs for the anxious generation.
With around fifty original songs to his name, his catalog runs on character sketches and wry storytelling rather than confession. His songs keep an observer’s distance — they’re about buskers, shut-ins, and strangers on the news, rarely about himself. He studied English at Tsinghua University (2018–2022) and earned an MA in Translation from University College London (2023–2024).
His music is streaming on Spotify, QQ Music, and Bandcamp. “June” was written for his mother; her favorite is “Beware the Haze.” He records under Kumiko Records, the independent Montreal label founded in 2026.
